We recently dined at The Goat restaurant on Valentine's Day, choosing lunch over dinner to avoid the evening rush. We began our meal with a beet salad and butternut squash soup, both of which were exceptionally flavorful. For my main course, I had the lobster ravioli, which was bursting with rich, delicious flavors. To conclude our meal, we indulged in beautifully presented cake pops, adding a delightful finishing touch. Additionally, we tried their garlic knots--without a doubt, the best I have ever had. We highly recommend this restaurant for an outstanding dining experience.
Went here for Valentine's Day, there was a prix fixe menu. It was pretty good; started with salads--Caesar salad was just ok, the beet buratta salad was fantastic. My husband had the filet and it was beautifully charred on the outside, perfectly cooked/flavored. Veggies were cooked perfectly, still had a bite to them. I got the pork osso bocco over mushroom risotto, it was pretty good. We were full so brought the chocolate cake for 2 home to enjoy later. It was hands down the best dish we had that night. Our server Connor was very young but very sweet and attentive. I thought the restaurant would be more upscale, but it was a lot more casual & felt almost like a chain restaurant. Noticed Little details like the glasses & silverware being spotty that made me less inclined to return.
Amazing food, service and price. Plenty of seating and a big menu. We are coming back here for sure!!
Every year I take the time to visit a new restaurant during Jersey shore restaurant week. This year we decided to check out the Goat. I have visited several David Burke restaurants over the years. The food was very good and I will likely return for Happy hour or dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a large bar. The restaurants acoustics aren't great and it is difficult to maintain a conversation with table mates because of the noise. I had the fried rock shrimp and fried calamari which was very good. The Salmon I had was perfectly prepared, I did get the pesto on The side as I don't think Pesto pairs well with Salmon. The asparagus was executed nicely. The Chocolate mousse cake with raspberry was excellent. Service wasn't great, looked they were short staffed. I will likely revisit as the food was very good.
The food was very good specially the shrimp and scallops with saffron rice and the meatballs. Connor, our server was super attentive . The drinks were great and bartender came to the table to ask how the drinks were. Good ambiance .
